Today our International Secretary Marta Majerčík along with our committee Marian Majercik attended the 75th anniversary of Slovak National Uprising (SNP) ceremony in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia 🇸🇰.
They’ve had the honour to be invited alongside with other associations, embassies, army representatives and other authorities and be present at the heart of celebrations of this important anniversary for Slovaks and their history.
Along with many interesting people, they’ve met Gen. Emil Boček 🇨🇿 who is a dear friend of MAFCSV, British 🇬🇧ambassador British Embassy, Bratislava for 🇸🇰 Mr Andy Garth and they’ had the honour to shaken hands with the former President of Slovak Republic A. Kiska (who had visited Brookwood) and President of Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová.🤝
Meeting SNP veterans was the most exciting moment of the day and wreath-laying ceremony was the most emotional part.💐
MAFCSV would love to express a thank you, respect and honour to all who fought in the uprising and gave all for democracy and freedom🇸🇰. And that we’ve could be part of this memorial event and celebrations👍.
