Arisaig

Yesterday in the little village of Arisaig in north west Scotland our friends Alison Stewart and Henrik Chart placed a wreath on behalf of the MAFCSV at the Czech and Slovak Parachute Memorial. They held a two minute silence at 11:00, with some time for quiet contemplation. A second wreath was laid by Arisaig and District Community Council, on behalf of the village.
Arisaig holds a special place in our hearts as it was where the Free Czechoslovak soldiers undertook their Special Operations training during the war. Many of them went on to undertake missions behind enemy lines, but few returned.
Thank you to the community for keeping their memory alive and for telling their stories to visitors from across the world.
