100 Nantwich RAF Air Cadet Squadron Anniversary – Cholmondeley Castle

Yesterday at Cholmondeley Castle Gerry Manolas and John Polak were proud to join the Association of Czechoslovak Legionaries Abroad to remember the Free Czechoslovaks who were based there in July 1940. Having fought in the Battle of France many escaped on British and Commonwealth ships to reach the UK and camped in the Marquis of Cholmondeley’s grounds before being re organised into new units and squadrons.

Wonderful to catch up with the amazing team there that co-ordinated the event. We looking forward to celebrating all together next July when it will be the 80 year anniversary!

Congratulations to 100 Nantwich RAF Air Cadet Squadron who were an absolute credit to themselves and their Squadron.
